Botox has always been something I wanted. To be honest I never got it until now because I always felt like I would be judged. And we all know everyone has their thoughts and opinions and honestly I just was over that stopping me! Your body is yours, no one can tell you what to do and not to do. I am so happy with the results and wish I would have gotten it done sooner.
I have been going to Monarch Plastic Surgery for the past 2 years now to get facials on their Skin Rejuvenation side, from Jessica. I always knew they had a plastic surgery side and was growing curious of botox the more and more I was there. My sister actually got botox first from Ashley and raved about and it and also I loved how FLAWLESS her forehead looked so I knew I had to go to Ashley. Not only did I want to go because my sister went but Monarch has a great reputation as well they maintain a very clean environment and make me feel comfortable by answering all my questions!
*These images are from my first time, I have now been twice and the second time has been during COVID and at that time Ashley did wear a mask!
At the age of 25 (now 27) I started noticing my makeup sitting in the lines on my forehead. I had faint lines which was suggested when to start, when you start seeing lines staying after relaxing your forehead then that is when to consider.
I booked a consultation, I heard usually when you go for the consultation you just end up getting it because it doesn’t take long. The longest part was getting all the information and asking questions. When I went for my consultation I ended up just getting it done in one appointment.
MY ANXIETY was at an all time high and I worked myself up way too much. The process truly was seamless and didn’t hurt (personally). Some people explained it to feel like a bee sting but it was to me just a simple poke several times, again everyone is different. Ashley focused on my forehead, in between my eyes when I squint. She had to also put some in my brow line to balance the injections so your girl got a little brow lift 😉
When getting botox I also got a lip flip which is something someone can get when their top lip disappears basically when you smile. This was something I never considered but when it was offered complimentary I thought WHY NOT! and I LOVE it. Okay, it STUNG and it was only 4 injections but damn it stung.
QUESTIONS ABOUT BOTOX FROM FOLLOWERS ANSWERED BY Ashley Williams Voted” Best Botox Injector in KC” By KC Magazine 2020
What is there a difference between Botox and filler? Botox relaxes muscles while filler is a gel made of Hyaluronic Acid which adds volume and/or structure to specific areas.
What should you look for when finding a provider? Look for an RN or MD who works out of a medical facility. It’s important to maintain a very clean environment and be able to handle complications if they arise
Can Botox help TMJ? Botox can temporarily help TMJ by relaxing the masseter muscles in the jawline. By relaxing them, it helps relieve tension caused by clenching the teeth.
Is there an age preferred on when to get a lip flip/ lip filler? Typically, we recommend being at least 18 before trying a lip flip with Botox or lip filler. A lip flip is a subtle relaxation of the upper lip when smiling and only lasts about 6-8 weeks. Lip filler can change the appearance of lips at rest as well as when smiling and typically lasts anywhere from 6-12 months.
What does the pricing typically look per unit/ per session? Treatments are customized for every patient based on their muscle strength and the look they are hoping to achieve. A treatment plan is always discussed prior to treatment and we charge $12 per unit.
How long does it last? Most patients can expect to have treatments 2-4 times a year, depending on their metabolism and desired results.
Is it something you have to do forever? You definitely don’t need to continue treating after starting. Your muscle movement just returns back to full strength once you stop.
If you just want to focus on one area is that okay? Or do you recommend hitting all problem areas? It’s definitely fine to just focus on one problem area, especially as you get started. Once you see great results from one area, you might want to try treating additional areas, but it’s not required.
