Coral Pleated Romper: Versona
This past weekend was such a quick, fun and exhausting time in Michigan. We left late Thursday night after Andrew got out of work, which helped Luther sleep the entire way and arrive to the Mitten around 8:30 AM its safe to say we didn’t sleep once we got in! We had plenty of places to stop and see everyone and show off Luther, of course! When we arrived to the lake we got us some lunch and let Luther meet is Uncle Charlie ( Salt & Pepper 11 year old Miniature Schnauzer ) and relaxed. Later that day we went to make our visits and ended up at the end of the night at my mom and step dads for a yummy home cooked meal.
This Dock is right in front of Andrew’s family home. I have to say it really never gets old. Coming out here and being able to sit right on the lake and enjoy some cocktails and family time. I knew this outfit would be perfect for the day on the lake. This is Gunlake a smaller town in Michigan near Kalamazoo and the Grand Rapids area if you’re not familiar. My hometown is about 30 minutes from Gunlake.
Our Weekend Recap:
Saturday: We woke up and set up for Al’s Retirement Party ( Andrew’s Father ) and relaxed as much as we could until that night we celebrated his dad’s retirement party! It was a hoot, practically a family reunion for Andrew! I absolutely adore his family, not only are they are so sweet and beautiful on the inside and out but THE FOOD! I am such a foodie. I love when I know they are going to cook because I always arrive on an empty stomach and have 3 plates full!
Sunday: Mothers Day, I planned a nummy brunch for Andrew’s family and my mom and step dad at the Waldorf Brew pub and bistro a local brewery in Hastings, Michigan. I loved spending the day with my mom and loved being a dog mom. We knew we were heading out Monday AM so we went to bed super early!!
Monday: We headed back to KC! And I received some really really great news regarding my blog, and my photography business!! That I cannot wait to share with you all VERY SOON! Other than that, Luther did so good until we got about an hour away from our apartment and totally wanted out and wanted to play. Poor thing, as much as we should have stopped we wanted to get home so we just pushed though! He did so good I can’t complain. Yesterday I stayed home to regroup, clean, grocery shop and do laundry! It felt so good … meaning I wish I was still in bed right now! Ha.
NOTHING feels better than being home! Let me tell ya. I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day weekend!
