- Time is precious.
It has almost been 4 months since we have brought Luther Nash home and it has gone by so fast. I always say I live day by day but in my head I really am planning for the future and sometimes thats okay but I need to live more in the moment! I have had a huge reality check these past couple months especially with how fast this summer is going by! We must enjoy the big moments in life but also the little ones! ( look how tiny he was, side note: iPhone pictures from our road trip picking him up 🙂 )
- Be Silly.
Being an adult can be so serious sometimes. Luther reminds me that there has to be time to play and let your energy out and just simply be silly. Sometimes you just need to sing it out in the car, (guilty) or dance in the apartment by yourself ( guilty also of). The other night Andrew and I literally where crying in bed laughing so hard at the most ridiculous video! Being silly is good for your soul.
- Don’t Hold Grudges.
I mean look at that face!? How could you ever be mad at it. There are days where I just want to pull my hair out simply because he chooses to be a little booger some days! But I can’t be mad.I am the queen of holding grudges! But I have learned to move on you must let things go your only doing it to yourself!
- Give yourself a break.
Life is going by so  fast, I mean look how fast this summer has already gone by! It’s a nice reminder when I see Luther laying down to just sit down and relax for a second! I am use to walks on my own but now I of course bring Luther and we haven’t quite grasped the concept of a full walk. He follows his nose, lies down in the middle of the side walk or lies down in the grass and just look at me! It’s a good reminder to just take a break and I am okay with that!
- Smile Often.
With so much going on in this world today its hard to smile sometimes! But Luther reminds me that we have to smile even if you have to fake it sometimes ( it can have positive impact on your stress levels and your mood). Luther is always happy and showing those pretty teeth. Its a good reminder that life is too short not to smile!
No one ever said having a dog was going to be a breeze and its not! But one thing I do know is Luther has pretty cool parents and we are all he knows. As humans we have family and friends. We are literally all Luther knows ( and of course the people and other dogs we expose him to) but we are his safe place. I recently have  been realizing that with our first trip coming up where we have to leave him!
If you’re getting or thinking about getting a puppy/ dog! Do it, ( only if you’re ready for the responsibility and work) it will change your life for the better! It has made me a better person and continuing to change me in ways! I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
Big things are happening these next couple months and I can’t wait to share them with you!!! Hopefully blog to come sooner than later about it 🙂
